ZCSD urges fiscal disciplne

Zambia Council for Social Development (ZCSD) has urged President Edgar Lungu to ensure there is adequate fiscal discipline in managing the country’s resources.

ZCSD Executive Director Lewis Mwape notes that coming up with strategic ways of mobilizing local resources is key to saving enough monies for all needy sectors.

Mr. Mwape says it is in this regard that government has a huge responsibility to slow down on excess borrowing.

He explains that President Edgar Lungu should also see to it that the development agenda is top priority and should benefit all Zambians.

Mr. Mwape adds that Mr. Lungu has already shown commitment to issues of developing the country hence the need for him to stand firm and deliver to the expectations of the people.

He has since congratulated Mr. Lungu on his election as Zambia’s sixth president.
