Janza backing Zambia to advance

Zambia coach Honour Janza remains defiant about his sides 2015 AFCON quarterfinal hopes.

Zambia lost 2-1 to Tunisia on Thursday in the two sides penultimate Group B match to slump to the bottom of the pool on one point.

The result means Zambia must defeat Cape Verde on January 26 to keep their quarterfinal ambitions alive.

“We will never say die until it’s over. And we know we have drawn one, we have lost one and we need to win one,” Janza said.

“Of course we needed a win but it could not come our way but that doesn’t mean we pack our bags.

“I think the consolation is that there was a draw, which gives us another chance.”

Cape Verde are joint on two points with DR Congo while Tunisia lead Group B on four points.
