Accept final results political parties urged

A Traditional Leader has called on all political parties to accept the final results that the Electoral Commission of Zambia will give in a bid to promote peace and unity in the country.

Chief Mukobela of the ILA speaking people in Namwala District of Southern Province has told QFM News in a telephone interview that Zambia is bigger than political parties.

Chief Mukobela says it will be unacceptable if certain political parties refuse to accept the final results saying the impression that Zambians will have is that they do not care about the people of Zambia.

He says there is need for political party leaders to show unity during this time so that even the people may have total confidence in them.

He has since urged political party leaders to remain calm and peaceful as the country ushers in a new Republican President.
