ZRL still negotiating with TAZARA over partnership

Zambia Railways Limited (ZRL) is still negotiating with the Tanzania Zambia Railways (TAZARA) on the possibility of the two to enter into a partnership of using any of the two railway lines.

ZRL Chief Executive Officer Muyenga Atanga says the company is working on modalities to enter into a partnership with TAZARA so that they can move cargo via TARA railway line.

Professor Atanga states that TAZARA can also move cargo and passengers into Zambia using the Zambia railway line.

He says if this is done it will be easy for businessmen to travel to Tanzania and move heavy cargo through the railway line at a cheaper price.

Professor Atanga says the negotiations are still going on and that is hopeful that very soon they two companies will reach a consensus.
