Reduction of fuel prices cheers ZACA

The Zambia Consumers Association (ZACA) has expressed happiness with the reduction of fuel pump prices.

ZACA Executive Secretary Samuel Simitunda says they are happy that government has responded to the cries of the consumers.

Mr. Simitunda notes that the reduction in the pump price of fuel should translate into a reduction in the prices of basic commodities of life.

He points out that transport costs, the prices of mealie meal among others should all reduce so that people can feel the impact of reduced fuel prices.

Mr. Simitunda says the cost of living has in the past continued to go up, adding that in the New Year, this should not be the case.

He has further commended the government for reducing the prices of fuel noting that this has been long overdue.
