Zambia’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Susan Sikaneta has urged the Zambia National Soccer team to replicate the 2012 form in this year’s Equatorial Guinea Africa Cup finals which will commence on Saturday January 17.

The Ambassador is of the view that Zambia can take advantage of having had a successful outing in that country in 2012 when Chipolopolo‬ conquered Africa.

Speaking when she met the players at Harmony Hotel in Ethiopia last evening, Mrs Sikaneta reminded the lads of the great responsibility that the nation has placed on their shoulders.

“You have a vital role of uniting our nation as sports men, so when you get to Equatorial Guinea we shall all be looking forward to good results which should bring the citizenry together.

And Football Association of Zambia Executive Committee member, Happie Munkondya has praised the Government for its unflinching support to Zambian football. Munkondya says the Association is very pleased that the Government has continued supporting Chipolopolo in all the assignments that the team has to undertake.

Chipolopolo who are on their way to the ‪‎2015 Afcon‬ finals, made a stopover in Ethiopia and will continue the journey to Equatorial
Guinea this morning.
