Zambia’s late departure for the 2015 Africa Cup has left coach Honour Janza fuming.

The 2012 African champions have suffered a 72 hour arrival delay for the tournament due to poor planning in their travel plans.

Zambia were scheduled to land in Equatorial Guinea on January 14 but will only arrive on the eve of the Africa Cup kick off on January 17.

The delay means Zambia will have barely a day to settle down before their opening Group B game against DR Congo on January 18 in Ebebiyin.

“I am not happy with the delay in the team departure on the 15th and arrival on the 16th.It is now a challenge,” Janza said.

Delayed departures have become a common feature in Zambia’s travel itinerary but have until now only been restricted to away fixture engagements.

Zambia’s last departure fiasco came in the 2015 qualifiers as early as last September 9 when the team landed on match day for their away Group F clash against Cape Verde.

A jet-lagged Zambia went on to lose that match 2-1 away in Praia just twelve hours after landing in Praia after another poorly planned trip.
