Mayuka on target again

Striker Emmanuel Mayuka was on target again in another practice match for Zambia when they beat NFD side Witbank Spurs 2-0.

Mayuka was joined on the scoresheet in Monday’s practice match victory by Zesco striker Jackson Mwanza.

His goal against Witbank on Monday came just days after he also found the target against another NFD side on January 9 when Zambia beat Jomo Cosmos 4-0.

The Southampton striker is expected to lead Zambia’s attack at the 2015 Africa Cup in Equatorial Guinea that kicks off on January 17.

Mayuka is the most seasoned forward in Zambia’s attacking department heading to the Africa Cup following the axing of veteran’s Christopher Katongo, James Chamanga and Jacob Mulenga.

Meanwhile, Zambia kick off their Africa Cup campaign with a Group B game against DR Congo on January 18 in Ebebiyin.
