Injured striker Patrick Ngoma might be dropped from Zambia’s trip to the 2015 Africa Cup.

The Zambia Under-20 striker has hobbled through the last three weeks of Chipolopolo pre-tournament training camp in South Africa with a reported bruised bone.

“The rest of the players are okay but I am still getting worried with Patrick,” Zambia coach Honour Janza said.

“We are now waiting for another medical examination or we may call back one player from the dropped ones.”

The Red Arrows striker is one of ten African Cup debutants in Janza’s final 23-member team for the tournament that will be hosted by Equatorial Guinea from January 17 to February 8.

Ngoma earned his place in the fold after leading the Zambia Under-20 to victory at the 2014 COSAFA Youth Championship in Zimbabwe where he also walked away with the golden boot after scoring seven goals.
