Zambia’s national under-17 team coach Chris Kaunda has said he is satisfied with Saturday’s home draw with Amajimbo South Africa in their junior international friendly.

Junior Chipolopolo rallied from one-down to finish 1-1 with their South African counterparts at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

The friendly was part of both sides’ preparations ahead of their participation in next month’s 2015 Caf Under-17 Cup to be held in Niger.

“The result to me was not important. I’m more than happy with the outcome. Remember we only trained for three days,” Kaunda said.

Kaunda also disclosed that two more friendlies are on the cards for him before heading to the Niger tournament that will run from February 15 to March 1.

Liam Jordan put Amajimbo ahead in the 18th minute with a close-range header from a corner.

Zambia equalised through their influential midfielder Patson Daka just twelve minutes later.

Meanwhile, Zambia will be making their Caf Under-17 debut when the tournament kicks off next month.

Zambia are in Group A with Nigeria, Guinea and hosts Niger.

They will kick off their campaign on February 15 against Guinea before facing host Niger on February 18.

Zambia will wrap up their Group A campaign on February 21 against Nigeria.
