Information reaching PF indicate that PF will win election – Chama

Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Davies Chama says information reaching his office indicates that the ruling party will win next week’s presidential election by 65%.

Mr. Chama states that though the party might not have touched every corner of the country to campaign, the election outcome will be in favor of the PF because of the many developmental projects such as roads, schools and hospitals the PF government has embarked on.

Mr. Chama says the Zambian people are cheered by these infrastructure developments the PF government has delivered during the three years they have been in power.

And Mr. Chama is confident the ruling party will perform better than the United Party for National Development (UPND) in Luapula province.

Mr. Chama says contrary to media reports suggesting that PF president Edgar Lungu is disappointed that some constituencies have been handed to the opposition in Luapula province; Luapula still remains a PF stronghold.

He says the PF has been delivering on the promises it made to the people of Luapula province in 2011 and stands ready to continue delivering on those promises.

But the United Party for National Development (UPND) Deputy Spokesperson Edwin Lifwekelo has maintained that victory is certain come 20th January.
