ZEC advises presidential aspirants to stop attacking each other

FrThe Zambia Episcopal Conference (ZEC) has advised presidential aspirants to desist from attacking each other but tell the Zambian people what they will do when voted into office.

ZEC Secretary General Fr. Cleophas Lungu says what the people of Zambia want to hear is what plans the aspiring candidates have for the country and not them insulting each other.

Fr. Lungu notes that the people want to hear the presidential aspirants articulate issues especially how they are going to implement their promises considering that some of the promises they are making are unrealistic.

He adds that what would help the presidential candidates win the election is giving clear messages to the people and not attacking their opponents.

Fr. Lungu says campaigns must be issue based even as the candidate compete for the highest office, pointing out that the country needs a person with integrity in the highest office and not someone arrogant or someone who will lie to them.
