Three Zambia player’s including goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene are nursing injuries sustained in Sunday’s friendly against Bafana Bafana.

Mweene did not return for the second half of Zambia 1-0 away loss to Bafana at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg on January 4 after sustaining a suspected thigh strain.

Joining the Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper on the casualty list from that loss to Bafana were midfielder’s Chisamba Lungu and Nathan Sinkala.

“Injuries will never leave a coach with a free mind,” Zambia coach Honour Janza told the Zambia Daily Mail.

“We have Mweene, Chisamba and Nathan is also limping. We just hope they recover because we need everybody. The injuries are minor all the same (but) we need them to recover in time.”

Zambia are currently midway through a three week pre-2015 Africa Cup training camp in Johannesburg.
