TALC commends govt efforts of ensuring access to essential drugs

Treatment Advocacy and Literacy Campaign (TALC) has commended government efforts in ensuring that people have access to essential drugs.

TALC Country Coordinator Felix Mwanza says people living with HIV and AIDS are doing well with treatment.

Mr. Mwanza notes that government through the ministry of health has done a commendable job in last three months.

He explains that TALC is also more than happy with government’s move to put fifteen thousand children on treatment through its serious monitoring and counseling of mothers.

Mr. Mwanza adds that though it has not been easy for majority mothers to take their children for voluntary counseling, government and other stakeholders have done a good job in this area.

He has since appealed to all patients on treatment to continue adhering to treatment to avoid contracting other infectious diseases.
