National Council for Construction has commenced legal action against Cedrick Shamabanse for forgery and altering of false documents.
NCC Public Relations Officer Chama Mwansa in a statement says Mr Shamabanse was arrested in Choma on 23rd December,2014 and appeared in Court on 24th December,2014 were he pleaded guilty to one of the charges.
Ms Mwansa says the Court has since ruled that the matter be subjected to a full trial after looking at the case against the accused.
She says during a search conducted at Mr Shamabanse’s premises in the course of the investigations, it was discovered that he was in possession of a number of NCC Contractor Registration Certificates as well as the NCC Construction School Certificates.
Mr Shamabanse who served as an Executive Committee Member of the National Association for Small and Medium Scale Contractors in Southern Province, sits on the NCC Provincial Registration Committee for Southern Province.
