Rupiah should not engage in partisan politics – UCZ

RB WINA TOGETHERUnited Church of Zambia (UCZ) Secretary General Reverend Dr. Peggy Kabonde says former President Rupiah Banda should not engage in partisan politics, but be the chief advisor to all political parties.

Rev. Kabonde notes that it wrong for the former President to engage in active politics and support a particular political party, stating that as a father he should treat everyone equally.

And Rev Kabonde says politicians should go back to the Bible and begin to engage in biblical politics with integrity unlike the case is now where politicians have changed their manifestos only to suit their own desires.

She adds that the kind of politics being practiced now shows lack of self integrity as people are there merely for jobs and not to serve the people.

Rev. Kabonde adds that the kind of politics being witnessed in the country has left the people confused.
She has since urged politicians to realize that they are governing people and begin to make decisions in the interest of the people.
