HH pledges reforms to Education sector

UPND President Hakainde Hichilema says his party in government will reform the education sector so that children and youth have full access to education from primary up to university.

Mr Hichilema notes that Zambia has a young population with great potential, and that it is this young population that will move Zambia forward in the future.HH apology

He says there is need to make sure they get the best education that the nation can afford to provide.

Mr Hichilema adds that this education should be equally available to all, regardless of gender.

He states that young men and women must be educated and trained adequately so that they go into the workforce prepared.

The UPND leader notes that while transformation cannot happen overnight, with careful, competent and determined management a difference can be made even in a short space of time.

Mr Hichilema says proper consultation of teachers in developing education policy and reform can ensure the measures taken are effective and well directed.

He says by investing properly in children today, the country will create a generation of great Zambian businessmen and women, farmers, workers, entrepreneurs and politicians for tomorrow.
