Govt advised to prioritize public financial management reform in 2015

Transparency international Zambia (TIZ) has advised government to begin the year 2015 with public financial management reform strategy being priority.

TIZ president Lee Habasonda says government should ensure that public financial management reform strategy is well monitored to enhance accountability and transparency.

Mr. Habasonda says this initiative is critical in helping to identify various sectors of the economy and how public resources are utilized.

He says it is for this reason that government through various Ministries needs to step up its efforts this year and find strategies that will safeguard the country’s resources.
