Commuters Rights Association of Zambia president Aaron Kamuti has commended the road transport and safety agency (RTSA) for extending the payment period of road licenses.
Mr. Kamuti says the move by the agency is in the right direction as it will help motorists to have ample time prepare themselves.
Mr. Kamuti says that it has been difficult in the past for many motorists to meet the deadline for the agency with regard to paying their fees because the time is usually not enough.
He notes that having been given the whole month of January is a plus because there will be no excuse for any motorist for not paying their road tax after the grace period is over.
Mr. Kamuti has since appealed to all motorist to ensure that they abide by the rules of the road transport and also be responsible as they drive around during this festive season.
