Power Dynamos want Munthali back

Reports suggest Zambia defender Christopher Munthali’s permanent move to Nkana is off and he will return to Power Dynamos in 2015.

Munthali has been on loan at Nkana from Power for the last two years since joining them at the start of the 2013 season from their Kitwe arch-rivals.

They were earlier indications from Nkana officials that they had signed Munthali on permanent move earlier this month but Power coach Tenant Chilumba said the defender still has a running contract with his club.

“On Chris, I can only say it is an administrative issue,” Chilumba said.

“When I spoke to him he sounded like he wanted to come back and had also spoken to the club officials.”

A source at Power has said Munthali has already been assigned the number 4 jersey and is registered for the clubs’ 2015 CAF Confederation Cup campaign that kicks off on February 14.

Munthali is currently away on Zambia duty preparing for Chipolopolo’s 2015 Africa Cup outing at next months tournament in Equatorial Guinea.
