PF in Mbala calls on GBM to resign

The ruling Patriotic Front (PF) in Mbala District in Northern Province has called on Kasama Central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba to resign from the party and form his own party.

Addressing journalists in Mbala this morning, Mbala District Chairperson Matilda Lungu says Mr. Mwamba was wrong to insinuate that PF members in Northern Province have endorsed the candidature of UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema.

Mrs Lungu says Mr.Mwamba has no people in Mbala district stating that the people who attended his press briefing in Kasama were paid to say what they said.

Mrs. Lungu has since challenged Mr.Mwamba to resign from the PF so that he see that he is not popular in Northern Province.

And Mbala Constituency Chairman Ackim Simukoko says Mr.Mwamba is not as popular in the PF as he claims.

He says Kasama Central lawmaker should emulate former PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba and form his own political party rather than bringing confusion in the ruling party.
