Lungu asked to show transparency over his travels

The Zambian Voice has challenged Patriotic Front President Edgar Lungu to show transparency by giving the Zambian people the details of his travels and the people giving him money for campaigns.

Executive Director Chilufya Tayali in a media statement says it has been repeated overtime that the PF is sourcing money from well-wishers, but this is not enough to assure the Zambians people that Mr. Lungu is not soliciting money from people that would hold him to ransom if elected as President of Zambia.

Mr Tayali states that Mr. Lungu should be transparent when he travels, especially if he is going outside the country, considering that he is currently Justice and Defense Minister.

He adds that Mr Lungu, as a government worker, is accountable to the Zambian people as prescribed by the public workers code of conduct.

Mr Tayali further states that in the same manner, UPND President Hakainde Hichilema should attend to similar issues raised by his organization if indeed he is transparent and receptive to the Zambian people.
