Simfukwe asked to develop Mbala or risk being voted out

Mbala Member of Parliament Mwalimu Simfukwe has been called upon to ensure he takes development to Mbala or risk being voted out in 2016.

Some residents talked to in Mbala District in Northern Province by our staffer Albert Mpezeni have bemoaned the underdevelopment the area has suffered in the last three years.

Gerald Siame, 40, a farmer in Mbala district says Mbala has the potential for development, but that there is no political will to develop the area.

Mr. Siame says Mr. Simfukwe has totally done nothing since his election as Mbala MP in 2011.

And Nancy Nakombe notes that Mpulungu District has developed because the area MP Freedom Sikazwe is committed to developing the area.

Ms Nalungwe says Mr. Simfukwe should emulate Mr. Sikazwe who has done well in the last three years he has been Mpulungu MP.

Charles Simbeye, a businessman in Mbala, is of the view that Mr. Simfukwe lacks vision when it comes to developing the area.

And Simon Chella says the people have learnt a lesson during the last three years Mr Simfukwe has been area Member of Parliament.
