Sinkamba to improve health-care provision once elected

Green Party President Peter Sinkamba has pledged to improve health-care provision in Zambia if elected the country’s President in the 2015 general elections.

Mr. Sinkamba says his government will create a health insurance scheme linked to social security with the view of supporting poor families who cannot afford costs related to health care.

He says once elected President he will continue with the on-going construction of clinics and hospitals countrywide but not using borrowed funds.

Mr. Sinkamba notes that his government will further execute all infrastructure development in country using domestically generated revenue.

He adds that to stop wastage of public resources through sending of patients abroad for specialized treatment, his government will construct a state-of-art hospital at each of the army brigades and air-force bases countrywide.

The Green Party president states that these hospitals will be installed with the state-of-art equipment and personnel to perform specialized treatment.
