Home affairs deputy minister Stephen Kampyongo has appealed to motorists to be road safety during the festive season.
Mr. Kampyongo says vehicles should not overload or over speed but be careful on the road so as to avoid road accidents during the festive season.
Mr. Kampyongo has also urged motorists not to drink and drive or talk on the phone citing that it will be very sad to lose lives during the festive season as it not a time to cry but a time to be happy and thank God.
He has also appealed to the police to work with motorists and ensure that law and order is maintained on the streets.
Mr. Kampyongo has further wished the people of Zambia an accident free festive season.
