Eminem And 50 Cent Remember When They First Met In This Video

G UnitEminem and 50 Cent have an undeniable chemistry. When Slim signed Fif to Shady Records in 2002, the anticipation for the G-Unit juggernaut’s debut album reached heights that few artists will ever experience. But how did their relationship begin?

On Monday, Complex magazine published a mini-doc online where they sat with Em, 50 and team Shady to document their union and the creation of their now-classic collaboration, “Patiently Waiting.”

The video starts off with Em and 50 talking about the events leading up to the deal, with Marshall’s manager urging him to listen to Fif’s 2002 independent album, Guess Who’s Back?

“At that point in time, I think we had found out he wasn’t signed yet,” Eminem said in the video, realizing the potential for 50 and Shady Records.

Yesterday was a definite G-Unit throwback day. In addition to the Complex video, RapRadar.com spoke to Tony Yayo for a special podcast.

In the hour-long sit-down with the site’s content manager Brian “B-Dot” Miller, Yayo recalled when he first met 50 Cent and Lloyd Banks.
