Time ticking for PF to please Zambians – Nkombo

United Party for National Development (UPND) Chairperson for Energy Garry Nkombo says time is ticking for the Patriotic Front to please the Zambian people who are bitter with their policies.

Mr. Nkombo who is also Mazabuka Member of Parliament points out that government still owes farmers in his constituency K19 million who are spending sleepless nights thinking about what they will eat the next day.

He says contrary to reports that famers in his constituency received their monies this week, this is a total fabrication of lies.

Mr.Nkombo says he has confirmed with the District Commissioner in the area who has also expressed concern that the late payment of farmers may affect their farming activities.

Mr. Nkombo has since challenged Agriculture Minister Wylbur Simuusa to produce records indicating that the farmers have been cleared as at December 23rd.

But Agriculture Minister Wylbur Simuusa has maintained that government remains committed to ensuring that farmers are paid their dues.

Mr. Simuusa says the monies may delay at the banks but this should not anger anyone but calls for patience.
