FODEP advises political parties over campaign promises

The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) says political parties should draw lessons from the situation the ruling Patriotic Front as found itself for reneging on the campaign promises they made in 2011.

FODEP Executive Director MacDonald Chipenzi has told QFM News that all political parties should learn from the PF and make promises that they will be able to fulfill if voted into office.

Mr. Chipenzi says it is important that political parties stick to promises upon which they can deliver without difficulties.

He says this time around the people do not expect political parties to make a bouquet of promises that they will struggle to accomplish.

Mr Chipenzi adds that political parties should be truthful in their promises to avoid a situation where the promises backfire.
