Edgar Lungu confers with Chitimukulu

Bashi Lubemba have pleaded with government not to interfere with traditional affairs especially in the appointment of traditional rulers.

Speaking when PF President Edgar Lungu paid a courtesy call on Paramount Chief Chitimukulu designate Henry Kanyata Sosala, Chairman for Bashi Lubemba, Chief Chimba says the confusion surrounding the installation of Mr Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu has really affected the traditional leader.

Chief Chimba pointed out that goEDGAR LCvernment is not responsible for selecting traditional leaders pleading with Mr. Lungu to ensure that he completes the resolves the impasse surrounding the Chitimukulu chieftaincy if he wins so that the traditional leader can be free and work freely.

And the Chitimukulu designated asked Mr.Lungu to clarify whether it is true that Chiefs and Traditional Affairs Minister Professor Nkandu Luo will be appointed Vice President if he wins,but Mr. Lungu responded by saying that he has not thought about it yet.

The traditional leader said he was worried about the news, while pointing at PF National Chairperson Inonge Wina as someone who has worked well.

And Mr. Lungu has promised to work closely with traditional leaders when he wins the fourth coming presidential elections.

Mr. Lungu was accompanied by Finance Minister Alexander Chikwanda, Kasama Central MP Geoffrey Mwamba, PF National Chairperson Inonge Wina among other members of the ruling party.
