2014 was characterized by heightened political tension – Saunders

Political Activist Dante Saunders has described 2014 as a year characterized by heightened political tension than ever witnessed in Zambia’s political history.

Mr. Saunders adds that 2014 has ended on sad note because people were hopeful that the PF government will fulfill most of the promises they made such as the enactment of the new constitution, revision of the Public Order Bill Act, and enactment of the Access to Information Bill among other things.

Mr. Saunders points out that harassment of political players more especially those from the opposition, has been the order of the day in 2014.

He says there is nothing good that is worth remembering in 2014 because the PF government has not been working well with other political parties.

Mr Saunders states that it is his prayer that 2015 will be a different year where political parties will work together for the sole purpose of developing the nation.
