Superior Milling donates to UTH’s mothers’ shelter

Superior Milling has commended the University Teaching Hospital (UTH) for caring for the many people that come from all corners of the country to nurse patients.

Speaking when he presented a donation of assorted food stuffs to the mothers and relatives shelter at UTH today, Superior Milling Managing Director Peter Cottan notes that besides providing medical care to those in need, the hospital has been working hard to ensure that those nursing their sick relatives have something to eat.

Mr. Cotton notes that it is also clear that the hospital has many challenges which require support not only from government but also from corporate entities.

He says Superior Milling is delighted to take up the challenge through its corporate social responsibility programme, stating that the challenges facing UTH require immediate attention from various sectors and that his organization finds it fulfilling to partner with the hospital in mitigating certain challenges.

And speaking when he received the donation, UTH Managing Director Luckson Kasonka has hailed the partnership with Superior Milling and other companies such as Airtel Zambia have with the hospital.

Dr.Kansonka says the hospital cannot manage on its own to provide food for patients and those taking care of them because the budget is strictly for patients.
