TB still difficult to treat- Kasonde

Health Minister Joseph Kasonde has disclosed that Tuberculosis (TB) still remains a difficult disease to treat in Zambia.

Dr. Kasonde says though the ministry of health has made significant strides in the treatment of patients with early stages of TB, more has to be done to ensure lives are saved.

Dr. Kasonde points that the major challenge has been treating tuberculosis that is HIV and AIDS related.

Dr. Kasonde has however commended health personnel for their commitment to ensure that patients adhere to their TB treatment.

He has further appealed to TB patients to be consistent in taking their drugs as prescribed by the doctor.
