ZYAFAC calls on ACC to probe Scott

Zambia Youths in the Fight Against Corruption (ZYAFAC) says acting Republican President Guy Scott’s letter to the Acting Chief Justice over the Patriotic Front presidential candidate amounts to abuse of office.

ZYAFAC Executive Director Rickson Kanema has since appealed to the Anti Corruption Commission to consider probing Dr Scott for abuse of office in this regard.

Mr Kanema says the decision by the Acting Republican President to write a letter to Acting Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda directing her not to entertain nominations from any candidate on the PF ticket until legal processes have been exhausted is unacceptable.

Mr. Kanema says the indiscipline exhibited by the ruling PF should not be tolerated and that relevant government wings must rise to the occasion and correct things.

Mr. Kanema adds that Dr. Scott should avoid doing things that may bring chaos in the country by doing the correct thing.

And Youths for Transparency and Integrity (YTI) Executive Director Bright Muchima in a separate interview has noted that what is happening in the ruling PF is the highest degree of political immaturity
