Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Robert Sichinga says his loyalty lies with Edgar Lungu as Patriotic Front President.
Mr. Sichinga says as a loyal member of the PF, he respects the decision of the party to have elect Mr Lungu as party president.
Mr. Sichinga notes that while he has challenges with some of the things that happened in terms of the procedure in electing the president, he believes that the decision of the party is in the interest of the people of Zambia.
He adds that he has not been to campaign with PF president Edgar Lungu because not everyone can be in the campaign at the same time considering that there is still a government to run.
Mr. Sichinga says government cannot stop running simply because there are campaigns going on, stating that development has to continue taking place.
He has also expressed optimism that the PF will emerge victorious in the forthcoming Presidential elections.
Mr. Sichinga further states that what has been witnessed in the recent past within the ruling party is normal.
