Bwalya links Scott to Rainbow Party

The opposition Alliance for Better Zambia has observed that acting President Guy Scott’s recent actions in respect to the ruling Patriotic Front is an indication that he is allegedly part of the newly formed Rainbow Party.

ABZ president Frank Bwalya says Dr. Scott’s letter to the acting Chief Justice in an apparent attempt to block ruling PF president Edgar Lungu from filling nominations scheduled for Saturday this week should therefore be understood.

In a statement to Qfm News, Father Bwalya says it is possible that Dr. Scott could simply be waiting for the right moment to ditch the ruling PF and formally join the Rainbow party which has been formed by former PF Secretary General Wynter Kabimba.

Father Bwalya has alleged that in the meantime, Dr. Scott will continue creating confusion and various problems in the ruling party with the view of weakening it.

He says he is also of the view that given the current situation, Dr. Scott would also allegedly not care about being removed as acting president if such action would add to the confusion in the governance system.

The ABZ leader states that it is against this background that he thinks the PF Central Committee should handle the disciplinary cases involving Dr. Scott with a lot of caution and prudence in order to minimize confusion and unnecessary problems.

He says his party thus commends the PF Central Committee for the quick action to discipline Dr. Scott for attempting to block the ruling PF from filing presidential nominations scheduled for this Saturday.

Father Bwalya has urged the PF Central Committee and Cabinet to move fast and bring the current confusion in the party to a stop.
