HH commits in writing to recognize Sosala as Chitimukulu

United party for National Development (UPND) President Hakainde Hichilema has made a written commitment pledging to recognize Henry Kanyanta Sosala as Paramount Chief Chitimukulu of the Bemba speaking people once he is elected President in 20th January presidential election.

Mr Hakainde reiterated his commitment in writing when met Mr Sosala in the presence of Chief Munkonge in Kasama yesterday before proceeding to address a rally.

Addressing a rally at Presidents Park, Mr Hichilema told the people that he would continue with the infrastructure and development projects that were embarked on by all previous regimes, including those of President Michael Sata.

Mr. Hichilema noted that Northern Province has great potential for tourism which should be nurtured to the benefit of local people and help create jobs, especially for the youths.

He emphasized on the need to reduce the price of farm inputs such as fertilizer so that peasant farmers can grow more food and consequently lower the cost of mealie meal and other food products in the country, such as cassava.

Other who spoke at the same rally include Lunte MP Felix Mutati,Lubansenshi MP Patrick Mcheleka,former MMD National Secretary Richard Kachingwe and former PF Eastern Province Chairman Lameck Mangani who emphasized on the need for the county to once more come together and unite behind the leadership of the UPND President Hakainde Hichilema.
