YALI demands to be told truth over Lungu’s visit to Zimbabwe

The Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) has charged that the reasons given by Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba with regards PF President Edgar Lungu’s visit to Zimbabwe are not convincing.

YALI governance Advisor Isaac Mwanza says matters that are internal to Zambia’s politics must be left to Zambian politics and that the excuse by Mr. Kalaba is not satisfying.

Mr. Mwanza says it is not enough for the PF to simply state that the meeting was meant to provide an opportunity for the two leaders to brief each other on their respective just ended party conference and current issues affecting the two ruling parties.

Mr. Mwanza says there is also need for political parties to disclose their source of funding otherwise people fear that they may auction the country in broad day light.

The YALI Governance Advisor has since demanded that the real truth be told to the people of Zambia.
