Harrington urges govt to restore Barotseland agreement

Former Tourism Minister William Harrington has appealed to government to consider restoring the Barotseland agreement of 1964.William

Mr. Harrington has told Qfm news in a walk-in interview that he strongly feels that the Barotseland agreement should be restored as recommended by the Rodger Chongwe commission of inquiry which was appointed by late President Micheal Sata.

Mr. Harington says he is of the view that the new republican constitution will fail to stand a taste of time as long as it does not reflect the Barotseland agreement.

He says he believes that the new constitution will only stand a taste of time if its provisions reflect on or be in tandem with principles upon which the republic of Zambia is constituted as unitary state.
