ZCID foresees MMD re-organizing

The Zambia Centre for Inter Party Dialogue (ZCID) has observed that the decision by the High Court giving former Republican president Rupiah Banda the green light to stand on the MMD ticket will give the party time to re-organize itself.

ZCID Executive Director Horrance Chilando has told QFM News in a telephone interview that the ruling has given the MMD chance to prepare adequately for the forthcoming presidential by-election.

Mr. Chilando says this should also serve as a warning to all political parties that unity is key for the growth of any political party.

He says the MMD has no time to campaign and thus the need for them to remain united so that they go to the January 20th polls a united party.

Mr Chilando says there is also need for senior MMD members to find means and ways of reconciling suspended MMD President Nevers Mumba and Mr. Banda so that they support each other during this period.
