Mufulira District Commissioner Chanda Kabwe has appealed to the opposition political parties to stop intimidating and insulting the civil servants in his District.
MD. Chanda says civil servants play a critical role in the economic and social development of the country because they belong to the Government of the day.
In a statement to Qfm News Mr. Chanda says it is for this reason that he finds it is unfortunate that some named opposition political players are insulting the civil servants for no apparent reasons just to drive their unknown political agenda.
Mr. Chanda has urged all the civil servants in Mufulira District not to be shaken by the threats or insults from some opposition political players because their core duty is to serve the Zambian people.
He notes that civil servants are non partisan and for the opposition political parties to drag them in their unnecessary political battles are highly unacceptable.
He states that the opposition political parties should have limits and they must not go beyond their boundaries by insulting and intimidating the innocent civil servants in my district who have not wronged them.
