Zola looks into DR Congo chances

ZolaDR Congo International Distel Zola believes they are ready for the African Cup of Nations to be held in Equatorial Guinea.

With his country drawn Zambia, Tunisia and Cape Verde in group B, he explained to supersport.com what task awaits.

“The group C and D have the biggest team if we refer to the media. We are in the same group with zambia the winner in 2012 and Cape verde who is contesting for the second time so we will have to prove our worth.”

“Most of the time it is the team no one expects that creates the surprise, we are hoping to be the surprise of this competition.”

“We have to battle with big teams like Cameroon and Ivory cost to qualify and here we are. We are going to make sure we are ready and play game by game.”

“Hopefully we will make it to the knock out round.”

DR Congo became the 16th team to qualify for the showpiece as the third best team.

They finished with nine points and the most notable result on their qualification is their 4-3 win away against Cote d’Ivoire in Group D.
