Lubinda trying to reconcile Sampa, Lungu

Lubinda GKabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda says he is trying his level best to talk to Matero Member of Parliament Miles Sampa to reconcile and support PF Presidential candidate Edgar Lungu.

Speaking to journalists at Mwansa Kapwepwe Airport in Ndola today, Mr. Lubinda says he is still working on methods of unifying the party.

Mr. Lubinda says before leaving for Ndola to drum up support for PF President Edgar Lungu in Kitwe, he spoke to Mr. Sampa about him reconciling with Mr. Lungu and that he will do it again when he goes back to Lusaka.

He says he will continue advocating for peace in the ruling party until peace and unity is returned in the party.

He adds that the chances of winning the by-election lie in the amount of harmony existing in the ruling party.

Meanwhile, the PF in Shibuyunji has urged the PF Central Committee Disciplinary Committee to expeditiously dispose off the case of suspended PF Chairperson for elections Sylvia Masebo.

PF Shibuyunji District Secretary Joseph Kasonde has told QFM News in a walk-in interview that Ms Masebo’s call for PF President Edgar Lungu to leave the PF and form his own political party in proving his popularity is uncalled for.

Mr. Kasonde argues that Mr. Lungu is among the founding members of the party and that he cannot leave the party for the sake of Ms Masebo.
