GBM says he is not part of Lungu’s campaign entourage

Former Defense Minister Geoffrey Mwamba has refuted claims that he is part of the entourage that has accompanied Patriotic Front (PF) President Edgar Lungu to launch his Presidential campaign in Kitwe.

Mr. Mwamba, commonly known as GBM, says he has just heard about it in the media and he has not been invited.

Mr. Mwamba says he was not invited by Mr. Lungu’s entourage and was not informed by anyone from the Party.

He says since he has not been invited, he will not be part of the entourage.

Meanwhile, PF President Edgar Lungu says he will use the PF achievements so far as a strong foundation to build on the new programs, new projects and new initiatives.

Mr. Lungu says he will build on late President Michael Sata’s foundation with continuity programs but also share with the people the many new initiatives to tackle unemployment, the high cost of living, high fuel prices and mealie prices.

Mr. Lungu is today expected to launch his National Campaign at Freedom Park in Kitwe between and tomorrow he will be in Mansa for a similar launch.
