EIZ urges next President to continue with infrastructure development

ChiwalaThe Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ) says the next Republican President should place infrastructure development at the top of the agenda.

Speaking this afternoon after visiting late President Michael Sata’s tomb at Embassy Park to in the company other members of his executive, EIZ President Bernard Chiwala told journalists that investors are motivated by the amount of infrastructure development taking place in any given country.

Engineer Chiwala says infrastructure is key because it facilitates commerce and trade.

He says it is the prayer of engineers in the country that the next Republican President will carry on where late President Sata left in the construction industry.

Engineer Chiwala says the late President embarked on massive infrastructure development in the country such as stadia, hospitals, schools, airports and roads among others.

He states that engineers, technologists and technicians will always remember President Sata for his contribution in the construction industry.
