World Bank urges descent employment for young people

The World Bank has urged the Zambian government to step up efforts in creating descent employment for young people.

World Bank Country Director Kundhavi Kadiresan has told Qfm news in an interview that it is disheartening to see the majority young people in Zambia with good qualification failing to find descent jobs.

Ms. Kadiresan notes that job creation is a key for any nation world over including Zambia.

She says there is need for all stakeholders to bring to the table the policies and strategies that will help improve the quality of jobs that can help shape the future of the young people in Zambia.

Ms Kadiresan notes that young people are the future leaders of the nation.
