TIZ asks political parties to uphold good governance

Transparent International Zambia (TIZ) has appealed to political parties to ensure that they uphold the tenets of good governance ahead of the 20th January presidential by-election.

TIZ Executive Director Goodwell Lungu has told Qfm news that there is need for political parties to abide by the electoral code of conduct at all costs.

Mr. Lungu points out that TIZ is closely monitoring the happenings in all political parties with regards adherence to good governance.

He says it is important for all politicians and especially those aspiring for the higher office to always bear in mind that good governance plays an import role in bringing about national development.

Mr. Lungu has further cautioned politicians to desist from engaging in corrupt activities.
