Flouting of constitutions cause for wrangles in PF and MMD – Ng’oma

Political scientist Alex Ng’oma has observed that the flouting of political party constitutions is what has caused wrangles being experienced in major political parties ahead of the 2015 presidential election.
Dr. Ng’oma says it’s high time all political parties begun to respect their constitutions under which they were established.
In an interview with Qfm News, Dr. Ng’oma states this is because doing so is in line with upholding the rule of law.
He notes that if political parties continue flouting their constitutions, they should similarly not expect government officers to abide by the rule of law.
Dr Ng’oma says it is therefore important that intra party democracy is deepened if some of the problems political parties such as the ruling PF and MMD are facing are to be resolved.
