Nepotism has been the problem- Saunders

Political Activist Dante Saunders has observed that Zambia has achieved nothing in the past 50 years of independence because of nepotism.

Mr. Saunders says there is too much nepotism in Zambia despite there being many qualified Zambians to do public service jobs which are usually given to the relatives of those in charge.

He notes that he also thinks that economic development is being strangled because of nepotism as it is difficult to run an economy when everyone involved in the running of the economy are related to each other in one way or the other.

The political activist says it has also become very difficult to do any kind of business because for one to do business, they need be connected to those in authority.

He says it is for this reason that the country needs to move away from this kind of governance and get rid of such mentalities so that the country can move forward.
