The people of Zambia have been advised against making emotional decisions when casting their vote on the polling day for the 2015 presidential election.

The opposition All People’s Congress (APC) is urging Zambians to base their political decision on the credentials of each candidate aspiring to be the country’s president.

APC president Nason Msoni has told Qfm News by telephone he thinks what Zambians should be looking for is political experience and competence when assessing who should be their leader.

Mr. Msoni states that this is because the point at which Zambia  is, if a young person was voted in as President the country would be in a governance and leadership mess.

He says if young people are insisting on wanting to become the country’s Head of State the best time would be in 2016.

The APC leader has also cautioned the people of Zambia not be swayed by lies and political deceit while they make their assessments of who should be their President if they are to avoid going through the same experience again.

He says the country is back in a position where politicians have started making promises they already know are unattainable.

The opposition leader states that it is important therefore that all aspiring presidential candidates be candid and make honest promises in their campaigns.

He says they should dwell on what things they can do differently for the Zambian people.
