Political activist Dante Saunders, who has commended the ECZ for the bold decision, has told Qfm News that proceeding with the presidential election regardless of the continued intra party conflicts is the right thing to do.

Mr. Saunders says this is because the people of Zambia are looking forward to participating in the election that is slated for the 20th of January next year.

He says his hope therefore is that the ECZ does not at any point change its position on account that the ruling party fails to come up with a presidential candidate.

The political activist states that the ECZ should not bend the rules in any other way other than what it has set already.

He says this is because other political are ready for the election.

Mr. Saunders has since advised both the ruling PF and the MMD to quickly resolve their squabbles.
He has particularly urged the ruling PF to ensure that its processes of electing its party president and subsequent presidential candidate does result in some people getting hurt.

Mr. Saunders has charged the ruling PF will be to blame if anyone gets injured after its General Conference.
